Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) In the FY 2022 IPPS/LTCH PPS final rule (86 FR 44812 through 44814), we finalized the reassignment of 31 ICD-10-PCS procedure codes describing laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT) of various body parts to more clinically appropriate MS-DRGs, as shown in Table 6P.2b associated with the FY 2022 IPPS/LTCH PPS final rule and available via the internet on the CMS website at: , including the reassignment of procedure codes D0Y0KZZ (Laser interstitial thermal therapy of brain) and D0Y1KZZ (Laser interstitial thermal therapy of brain stem), which were reassigned from MS-DRG 023 (Craniotomy with Major Device Implant or Acute Complex CNS Principal Diagnosis with MCC or Chemotherapy Implant or Epilepsy with Neurostimulator), MS-DRG 024 (Craniotomy with Major Device Implant or Acute Complex CNS Principal Diagnosis without MCC), and MS-DRGs 025, 026, and 027 (Craniotomy and Endovascular Intracranial Procedures with MCC, with CC, and without CC/MCC, respectively) to MS-DRGs 040, 041, and 042 (Peripheral, Cranial Nerve and Other Nervous System Procedures with MCC, with CC and without CC/MCC, respectively)
