Planed boards will lose 1 8th 1 4th of an inch, so a 1" thick board will be 3 4" thick. S4S board will be square on each thin edge so they will be ready to put in place or glue together without any gaps in the glue up. All lumber is kiln dried toaround 10% moisture content.
